Water Bill Help is Available for Qualified St. Louis Residents

During the 2020 Pandemic, the City of St. Louis Water Services Division instituted a water shut-off- moratorium for residents.

$1 million of American Rescue Plan Act (ARPA) funds has been allocated to assist City residents with past-due water accounts.

– Funds will be awarded on a first-come, first-served basis and consist of a one-time credit of up to $500.

Eligibility

St. Louis City Resident
Household income at 80% Area Median Income or see below
Demonstrate COVID-19 Hardship (i.e., lost income or additional costs due to the COVID 19 crisis, for reasons including but not limited to: Cut hours; job loss, funeral expenses, treatment costs)
Over 90 days delinquent
Must enroll in a debt repayment plan for outstanding water and refuse charges and agree to receive financial literacy information from the Saint Louis City Treasury Division.

Proof of Social Security Number for All Household Adults
Past Due Water Utility Bill
MO State ID or Drivers License
Proof of Primary Residence
Demonstrate COVID-19 Hardship
