Over 100 years ago, United Way began as the Community Fund in St. Louis when corporate and nonprofit partners came together to form a better community. This united local movement has helped millions of people, raising billions of dollars driven by our local leaders. As we turn the page and begin to look ahead to our next Century of Helping People, with your support, we can leverage our experience and strong partnerships to expand our impact right now and set the course for a brighter future for all.
Be A Partner For Change
Each fall, United Way of Greater St. Louis runs its annual community campaign to support its safety net partners and region-wide programs and initiatives. In addition to thousands of individuals who make a gift to United Way, more than 1100 local companies support the effort through corporate contributions, an employee workplace campaign, or both.
Companies that run a workplace campaign will be paired with a United Way team member to help build out a successful campaign plan to:
- engage and educate employees on the impact of United Way in the region
- create exciting and fun activities and special event fundraisers
- hold a rally to make the ask for a gift
- discuss various ways to thank employees who choose to give
- and more
