How you’re Helping Here through United Way
This July looks very different than last July. Busch Stadium is open, and we’re able to watch the Cardinals play. Friends and family are finally able to come together. The community we all love so dearly is opening back up.
That love for our Missouri and Illinois communities was here last summer, too, even while we were staying apart. We saw generosity and kindness and our community virtually coming together to help people through United Way.
Together, this is how we’re making a difference for our St. Louis region:
We helped our neighbors regain stability. 81,838 people had their immediate basic needs met.
We looked out for our neighbors’ mental and physical wellbeing. 23,182 people were supported with healthcare resources to help them experience fewer mental, emotional, and behavioral symptoms.
We provided answers when people needed a place to turn for help. 25,418 were connected with community resources and tools to sustain and thrive.
We changed the trajectory for many of our neighbors, including individuals living with a disability, survivors of domestic violence, and veterans. 11,327 people received employment supports to help them keep a job for at least 3 months.
We got creative about ways to give back, whether from home or safely in the community. 78,833 volunteer hours produced a value of $2,144,258 to our St. Louis region.
