As United Way of Greater St. Louis launches its annual Community Campaign, we invite donors to join one community-wide effort to help our neighbors live here and thrive. Whether you give through your workplace campaign, make an individual contribution, or give through your company, your gift joins thousands of others to make an impact across our community.
Collective giving turns individual generosity into community-wide change, helping support families, create brighter futures for children, and strengthen our region.
Together, donors help sustain a safety net of more than 150 nonprofit partners serving people across Missouri and Illinois. Next year, UWGSL will welcome four new partner agencies: Living In Victory Recovery Sober Living Homes, Haven of Grace, Macoupin Center for the Developmentally Disabled, and Casa de Salud. Your support helps these partnerships start strong and expand their impact across our region.
Building Stability for Families
For pregnant women experiencing homelessness, access to safe housing and long-term support can make all the difference. The Haven of Grace provides safe housing and long-term support for pregnant women and their children.
“The Haven of Grace is grateful to join United Way of Greater St. Louis as a safety net partner,” said Patricia Bosman, President and CEO of the Haven of Grace. “United Way’s support will help us provide safe shelter, education, and long-term stability for pregnant women who are unhoused and their children. Donations to United Way strengthen trusted organizations helping families build brighter futures.”
Creating Pathways to Recovery
Recovery often requires more than determination. It requires safe housing, support systems, and access to resources that help people rebuild their lives. Living In Victory – Sober Living Homes provides safe, supportive, and sober housing for individuals managing substance use disorders and mental health conditions.
“United Way’s support is more than funding, it gives us the ability to meet people during some of the most difficult moments of their lives and provide the housing, recovery and behavioral health support, resources, and hope they need to move forward,” said Cameo Jones, Founder and CEO of Living In Victory – Recovery Sober Living. “When you give to United Way, you are not simply making a donation, you are investing in people, second chances, and the hope of a better tomorrow.”
Expanding Opportunity and Independence
Community support helps create opportunities for people of all abilities to learn, grow, and participate fully in their communities. The Macoupin Center for the Developmentally Disabled is a day learning center for adults with intellectual disabilities, offering transportation, food security, and tailored programs that build life, social, and academics skills.
“We are very grateful to once again partner with United Way and are excited about what this renewed partnership will mean for MCDD and the people we serve,” said Mary Cox, President of the Macoupin Center for the Developmentally Disabled. “United Way’s support will help us continue providing a safe, welcoming place where adults with developmental disabilities can learn, grow, build independence, and be part of their community. We hope people will consider giving to United Way’s campaign and being a part of that difference.”
Increasing Access to Healthcare
Access to healthcare remains a challenge for many uninsured and underinsured individuals and families. Casa de Salud provides high-quality, affordable healthcare to uninsured and underinsured patients, especially newly arrived immigrants.
“We’re incredibly grateful to join United Way of Greater St. Louis as a nonprofit partner and to be part of a network that has supported our region for generations,” said Diego Abento, President and CEO of Casa de Salud. “United Way’s investment will help Casa de Salud continue providing high-quality, accessible healthcare to immigrants, refugees, and others in our community who face barriers to care, regardless of their ability to pay. When people give to United Way, they’re strengthening a network of organizations that meet our neighbors where they are and make sure critical services are there when people need them.”
