Message from our president and CEO
We are a nation and region in pain. Six years ago, we felt the collective anguish of Michael Brown’s death. And, while we have made limited steps toward healing and equity, we still have a long way to go to dismantle the systems of injustice and inequality that disproportionately affect people of color and minorities.
At United Way, racial equity remains at the forefront of our efforts. Creating a safe and healthy home for everyone in our community is central to everything we do. We’re committed to making our region a better place to live, work and thrive for all. We partner with programs and agencies that create equitable conditions and opportunities across our region to help all people live their best possible lives.
We have the choice to become informed, seek understanding, and put resources into action. Together, let’s work to create an equitable society.
