Job Summary
The Relationship Manager, Leadership Giving is a relationship-centric position responsible for planning, organizing, and conducting an annual Leadership Giving campaign within assigned Societies. This individual will manage current, prospective, and lapsed individual donors and work with cabinet/committee volunteers to build and implement an engagement and solicitation strategy.
 

Immediate areas of responsibility include our two largest Leadership Giving Societies: Women’s Leadership Society (WLS) and Men’s Leadership Society (MLS). This Relationship Manager will also oversee the launch of our pilot mentorship program within WLS. Society oversight is subject to change within the Leadership Giving team. 
 
General Responsibilities:
Relationship Management

  • Build and manage portfolio with a cross-sector range of stakeholders, including senior executives, top donors, Society chairs, cabinet members
  • Generate a pipeline of individual donors and prospects and execute a moves management plan to increase Leadership dollars
  • Assist with stewardship process for lifespan of donors and volunteers: identification, recruitment/solicitation, orientation, and ongoing management

 
Data Management & Analysis

  • Set Society goals, monitor progress, track metrics and project results via data, research, and feedback
  • Support volunteers with timeline/schedule management, meeting coordination & leadership, and prepare supplemental materials (data/reports, talking points, scripts, agendas, etc.)
  • Navigate and maintain an accurate database/CRM tool (Andar)

 
General

  • Work with internal teams and volunteers to build experiences and programming that appeal to Leadership Society members (ex: mentorship program) and create a strong membership experience
  • Assist in organizing special events and processes related to Leadership Giving activities, including kickoffs, networking events, educational forums, etc.
  • Maintain knowledge of community political, social, and economic factors that may impact the annual campaign

 
KSA (Knowledge, Skills and Abilities)

  • Bachelor’s degree in job-related area and/or minimum of 2 years fundraising, development, or sales experience
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Exceptional customer service skills, responding to donor and volunteer needs in a manner that provides added value and generates significant satisfaction
  • Proven ability to hold information confidential with excellent judgment. Position continually requires demonstrated poise, tact, and diplomacy
  • Comfortability making monetary asks
  • Ability to work autonomously, yet take direction as needed
  • Strong analytical and critical thinking skills
  • Demonstrated project management skills with the ability to hold self and others accountable for high-quality, timely, and effective results, often under pressure
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and nonprofit database applications
