Get Involved In The St. Louis Region During The 2019 Holiday Season

With the holiday season comes a sense of hope – an opportunity to bring out the best in our friends, family, community and even our region. Give back this holiday season at one (or more) of these volunteer opportunities in the St. Louis region!

Volunteer with Toy Town Salvation Army

Help with The Salvation Army – Midland Division’s Christmas Toy Town. For over a decade, the Toy Town program has ensured St. Louis children wake up to a present under their tree on Christmas morning.  Whether you want to work closely with the clients who come shopping for their families or work behind the scenes, there’s a volunteer position for you.

Make a Do-It-Yourself Cozy Cocoa Kit

Spread holiday cheer by creating Cozy Cocoa Kits. These kits, made from mason jars and filled with yummy goodness, will warm the hearts of those who receive them and make their holiday season even brighter.

Collect food or help at a food pantry

Hold a food drive to collect food and funds for your community and donate to your local food bank or pantry. Food pantries and banks receive lots of donations during the holiday season and can always use an extra set of hands to help sort, organize and stock shelves.

Help at a tree lot

Volunteer at Delta Gamma Center for Children with Visual Impairments’ Shining Tree Lot. This annual fundraiser goes from Nov. 29 – Dec. 20 with shifts available during the week and on weekends. From cashier, shift leader, tree hauler and more, there’s a volunteer opportunity for everyone!

Support families and individuals with 100 Neediest Cases

Whether you choose to adopt a family or give a gift, your support of families and individuals in the region means everything. This year, there are 10,980 community members in need, and over half of them are children. With your help and big heart, you can make the holiday season a joyous one for thousands of people in the Greater St. Louis region.

If you choose to adopt a family, maximize your impact and encourage your friends and family to donate money through your fundraising page that will directly benefit your adopted case.
